In 2002 they have prioritized serving made from scratch items ranging from essential oils to vegan smoothies. It is a true experience both spiritually and satisfying for our local foodies. The focus on the quality of their food so their customers understand that the process might take a little longer than your average restaurant but that's okay- all products are made with love and care. Flamming Ice cube is a unique model because they cater to every foodie by serving vegan and vegetarian options and you don't have to be either to enjoy them. The idea is one can still enjoy the food they eat without the meat! It is hard to resist their buffalo chicken dip though.. Founded in 2008 by Ely and Jim Pugh, Ely's has been serving strictly vegan treats that even carnivores love. Ely's pronounced (Alee) serves plant-based options that come straight from our local farmers. They pride themselves in doing good for the environment and supporting local business. In their store, you can find strictly recycled furniture that adds to their modern take on food. Ely's is unique because they serve dishes inspired by Asian and French cultures. Their food is so good that their customers are vegan and omnivore alike! Ely's is a hot spot for the lunch crowd but arrive right at noon because there are only 15 seats in this joint. Elys-to-go has been a recent endeavor that the company is focusing on because it's become so popular. It lies on the outskirts of Youngstown on 850 East Western Reserve Road for those who want to give it a try, I recommend the quinoa salad and the spring rolls with peanut sauce. Finish it off with one of their sweet treats. Don't dare ask what it's made from because I don't think you'll even believe it. Ely's is exceptional at making clean eating fun. Next to the Flaming Ice Cube, they are the first in this area to succeed with their model. They are proof that Vegan food can take off and have a presence in Youngstown.
